There are two kinds of people on the planet: dog people, and cat people. Don’t fact check me on this, but it’s almost definitely true. But did you know you can earn money for being a dog, or cat, person? Plenty of people have pets that they can’t look after full time, be it because of work, holidays, or illness. That’s where you come in, getting paid in both cash and cuddles!
Apps like WAG are dog-walking services, where you can sign up in your free time to walk someone’s dog for them and also get paid. However, you can often find people advertising dog walking services on cork boards in community spaces, or people requesting a dog walker. All you have to do is know how to handle a pet, and to take them for walks around a park or town.
To take this one step further, some people need pet sitting, which is where you go and sit in someone’s house while they’re away to make sure their cat is fed, watered, and in bed every night. If your full-time job is one that you can do remotely, like on a laptop or on a phone, you could be getting paid to do two things at once!
If you already have a pet, there are also some services where you can actually rent your pet out for a while. Some people suffer from anxiety and find it therapeutic to have a cuddly animal nearby. You probably won’t make all that much from it, but it means your pet can be out of the house if you need it to be, and that you’re doing a good deed for someone in need. Who’s a good boy?
